Conner Brumley is a proud Kentuckian, changemaker, and advocate currently serving as President of the College Democrats of Kentucky. Born and raised in the heart of the Bluegrass (Versailles), Conner’s passion for public service began early, inspired by the educators who raised and shaped his life and the communities he’s called home.
Conner began his political career by knocking on doors and phone banking after seeing his voice could make a difference at a Kentucky Youth Assembly conference. Since then, he spent over two years working alongside local leaders as an intern for Woodford County Judge/Executive James Kay, learning the intricacies of local government and building a deep commitment to improving his community. Most recently, Conner served as a Campaign Manager for Chantel Bingham’s historic run for 56th District State Representative, pouring his energy into grassroots organizing, canvassing, and sharing a vision for a brighter future for the place he calls home.
In 2024, he made history as the youngest delegate in Kentucky’s history and of the youngest at the Democratic National Convention, bringing the voices of young Kentuckians to the national stage.
In addition to serving as President of the College Democrats of Kentucky, Conner is a first-year Otis A. Singletary Scholar at the University of Kentucky (UK - GO CATS!), where he is double majoring in Public Policy & Administration and Communications. On campus, he serves as a Freshman Senator within UK's Student Government Association, and is a member of Alpha Phi Omega, the largest co-ed service fraternity in the nation, Men's Choir, Model UN, and Pickleball club!
As President of the College Democrats of Kentucky, Conner has reimagined the organization and is focused on mobilizing young voters and cultivating the next generation of leaders who will build a better Commonwealth. He looks forward to what the year holds, putting the blue back into the bluegrass!

Hadley Collins, born and raised in Lexington, is a rising Sophmore at Centre College, double majoring in Religion and Politics with a minor in Music. Her passion for public service and civic engagement began in high school through her involvement in Y Club, where she developed a strong interest in policy and the role of informed leadership. That experience sparked a deeper awareness of how access to accurate information is essential to a healthy democracy—an idea that continues to drive her interest in combating misinformation and promoting media literacy.
On campus, Hadley is an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, sings in the Centre Choir, and participates in student-led discussions on politics and current events. She is honored to serve on the executive team of College Democrats of Kentucky and looks forward to working with students across the Commonwealth to promote truth, equity, and meaningful political action.
sawyer@collegedemsky.org
Sawyer serves as the Development and Membership Director for the College Democrats of Kentucky. In this role, he addresses the needs of our chapters and manages our expansion to campuses throughout the Commonwealth.
Sawyer has been involved in politics since his sophomore year of high school when he worked on local campaigns for the Knott County Democratic Party. In his junior year, he became the youth representative on the Knott County Democratic Executive Committee. He has since served numerous candidates for State House and State Senate in every corner of Kentucky, including for former House Democratic Caucus Chair Cherlynn Stevenson in Lexington. In 2024, he began work in the Finance Department of the Kentucky Democratic Party, where he forged important relationships with donors and gained valuable experience in election finance. In that role, he helped facilitate the elections for the 2024 DNC at the 2024 Kentucky Democratic Convention in Louisville. Following the 2024 presidential election, Sawyer became outspoken about his belief that the Democratic Party must reform to bridge the gap between Party leadership and the middle class. He believes that the only way for Democrats to truly regain their influence in Kentucky is by reaching out to rural communities and going places where we may not always be welcome.
Sawyer has long been a fierce advocate for public education and labor rights. Raised in Eastern Kentucky and the product of three generations of public school teachers, Sawyer learned early the enormous role education and labor have played in building not just Kentucky, but America. As a proud son of Appalachia, Sawyer also wields an unbreakable passion for revitalizing forgotten communities and uplifting those that often go unheard.
Sawyer currently lives in Lexington, where he studies political science and sociology at the University of Kentucky. He enjoys running, exploring all kinds of music, and anything that has to do with college sports (even though we all know Big Blue Nation is always on top!).
